         We are pleased that you are interested in Genesee Oak. We are dedicated to providing you with the finest in assisted living care.    
 
What is Genesee Oak? 
•     Genesee Oak Adult Family Home has the capacity for four (4) residents. 
•    We provide services to ambulatory developmentally disabled men and women. We provide assistance in daily living activities, social activities for the residents, and security for the residents family. We strive to meet all of our residents needs, whether they are physical, emotional, or social.  
•    The ranch style house has four bedrooms, three full baths, a large open kitchen and dining room with a spacious living room and a recreational room in the lower level.  There is a patio off the kitchen with stairs that lead to the back yard, along with a paved drive leading to the back yard.    
Where is Genesee Oak? 
•    Genesee Oak AFH is about five (5) miles west of Waukesha in the town of Genesee, Waukesha County, Wisconsin.  The home is on one acre, in a subdivision which provides plenty of space to take a walk. The land is wooded with a bubbling spring right in our back yard!  
Who is the staff at Genesee Oak? 
•     Our staff is loving, caring and dedicated to providing residents with the care they need while encouraging independence. They are happy people, enjoy life, love what they do. All staff take continuing education classes to fulfill requirements, are trained in safety and have passed backgournd checks.   Arbor Living’s Administrator, Robin Gedney is available by phone any time, and is frequently on site at Genesee Oak. If the administrator is not available for a period of time the house manager is on-call.   
What do we do at Genesee Oak? 
•     We provide three delicious meals daily with snacks.   Medications are ordered, monitored and monitored properly by trained staff.  Our staff prepare all meals, ensuring a healthy diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole wheat products, and a minimal amount of fats and sugars.   
•     The home has a conversion van to transport residents.  We transport residents their work / day program and to any needed appointments.  Residents are also transported to community functions, church, restaurants and any activity they are interested in attending.  We plan outings and activities within our community and at home. Our goal is to provide residents with the opportunity to be part of the community we live in, by attending festivals, going to parks, and enjoying all that the Lake Country area has to offer.
